The Celebration of Life Monument was developed and built by Utah’s Donate Life Coalition (which includes DonorConnect, Utah Lions Eye Bank, and the University of Utah Whole Body Program) as a memorial to organ, eye, tissue, whole-body and living donors and their families, as well as a motivator to others to save and heal lives through donation. The first names were etched on the monument in 2004 and 500-600 names are added each year. If your loved one was an organ, eye, tissue, or whole-body donor upon death, his or her name is eligible for engraving on the Celebration of Life Monument. If you are a living donor— kidney or liver — your name is also eligible for engraving on the monument.
Bear the names of living and deceased donors whose selfless gifts saved and improved the lives of others. There are currently 7,704 names engraved.
Symbolizes the profound ripple effect of each donor, whose donation saved or healed the lives of many.
Show recipients joyfully living everyday moments after receiving a transplant.
Purchase a lasting tribute to your loved one and help sustain the monument for future donor families.
