Conrad is the fourth of our seven children. He had many talents and interests—he could quote Shakespeare, diagnose your sick fish, fix your crashed computer, or dissect a possum. He could juggle anything toss-able and loved magic tricks. He could challenge your best argument or encompass you with his heart-melting hug. Conrad loved animals, harboring many varieties over the years including snakes, birds, chickens, spiders, frogs, turtles, lizards, rabbits, fish, and his dog Misty. He was outgoing, energetic, and athletic – but mostly, he was invested in his family.
Conrad’s donation gave us meaning when we so desperately needed it. It honored Conrad’s love for others and his life. It did not remove our pain or erase our grieving, but it gave us a miraculous co-experience with joy.
